"Justice is not limited, it is a universal quality. Its operation must be carried out in all classes, from the highest to the lowest. Justice must be sacred, and the rights of all the people must be considered. Desire for others only that which you desire for yourselves. Then shall we rejoice in the Sun of Justice, which shines from the Horizon of God." ~ 'Abdu'l-Baha (1911, Paris Talks)
I'm crying as I type this so I will keep it brief. You can go to the link below and listen to the 911 tapes where Trayvon screams for help and then is shot. Also included is the 911 call his killer made as the dispatcher tries to tell him to stop following Trayvon.

I can't believe that the guy still hasn't been arrested. I've heard that the FBI is getting involved now though, so hopefully that might counter the corruption on the local end.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I read an idea that in protest people should send empty bags of skittles to the police department that isn't taking action. I think that would send a strong message. Here's the link; it's at the top of the comments. http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/03/18/446768/what-everyone-should-know-about-about-trayvon-martin-1995-2012/?mobile=nc
This for providing this link, creative idea. I think this case has become so well known that they will have no choice but to take action. It's sad that it's taken a month and a national outcry for the system to work.
